Biosecurity Defence

Helps prevent the spread of infectious diseases such as Avian Influenza (Bird Flu), Equine Influenza, Foot & Mouth and Swine Flu.

Disinfectant mats were used extensively in 2001 and 2007 against the foot and mouth outbreak and more recently against H5N8 & 6 strains of Avian Influenza .

Specifically designed to disinfect the tyres of large vehicles, foot traffic and to aid in administering animal foot care products, they are also vital in reducing the spread of many other diseases such as salmonella, campylobacter and footpad dermatitis.

Further Avian Influenza advice, including how to spot the disease, is available on the Defra website for England, Scotland & Wales
